The North Vancouver Community Band is currently recruiting new members. Membership is open to all levels of musical abilities.
The band is a warm and friendly eclectic group ranging from silver haired retirees, to students going to university to a talented cohort of young adults. We love to play music together! We love to laugh!
Whether you’re dusting off your instrument for the first time after years of not playing it; coping with a disability; or worried if you’re too young or old to play in a band, don’t be!! The North Vancouver Community Band welcomes all.
The beauty of the NVCB band is that we not only grow together and improve together, but we share the same passion for producing toe tapping tunes amongst other memorable charts and sharing these with our community! Repertoire includes a variety of styles and genres featuring everything from Sousa to Beethoven. Committed to bringing musical enjoyment to the community, the North Vancouver Community Band plays at numerous community venues throughout the Lower Mainland during the year.
The band rehearses every Thursday evening during the school year from 7:30 to 9:15pm at Carson Graham Secondary School. New and potential members are encouraged to drop-in. There are no auditions to join the group and membership fees are only $200/year.
